Inventory and Vendor Management
Primary Function
Manage purchasing components, inventory control, and tracking of assembly process
Roles and Responsibilities
- Place orders with vendors, and manage relationships to guarantee timely delivery of correct parts
- Work with design team to manage integration of long lead-time parts into system
- Proactively identify and resolve issues with suppliers and individual orders
- Find second-source alternatives for critical system components
- Track inventory from PO placement through receipt, testing, assembly, and use
- Maintain storage and organizational system for both components and assembled robots
Skill / Job Requirements
- Exceptional organizational abilities
- 2 years experience with inventory management in production environment
- 2 years experience with vendor management in production environment
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to create and improve effective systems
- Detail-focused and reliable
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving and unstructured environment
