Inventory and Vendor Management

Primary Function

Manage purchasing components, inventory control, and tracking of assembly process

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Place orders with vendors, and manage relationships to guarantee timely delivery of correct parts
  • Work with design team to manage integration of long lead-time parts into system
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues with suppliers and individual orders
  • Find second-source alternatives for critical system components
  • Track inventory from PO placement through receipt, testing, assembly, and use
  • Maintain storage and organizational system for both components and assembled robots

Skill / Job Requirements

  • Exceptional organizational abilities
  • 2 years experience with inventory management in production environment
  • 2 years experience with vendor management in production environment
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to create and improve effective systems
  • Detail-focused and reliable
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving and unstructured environment
